I don’t know in what universe letter-writer Joseph Bussen lives (“Let people enjoy annual fireworks,” Star-Advertiser, Jan. 9), but in Kalihi, and other nearby communities, the “bombs” started around Halloween and got louder and more frequent.
Law enforcement has to catch the violators in action; it is not a “blind-eye” situation. We are giving up weeks of sleep. This is not a “one-night-a-year” event. I have equilibrium dizziness and when they go off at night, my whole body snaps. Next morning the dizziness is much worse.
Bussen has his priorities and realities out of fantasyland. Welcome to the real world, Joe.
