I am LGBT. U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard’s past actions were hurtful and by promoting discrimination, put many LGBT people in harm’s way. Some people can change, but true change is usually exhibited in actions, not words.
What concerns me more is Gabbard’s absolute lack of substantial accomplishments to her elected positions.
She sought appointment to U.S. Sen. Daniel Inouye’s vacant seat in 2012, after she was newly elected to Congress, demonstrating her strong ambition. Gabbard is never satisfied with her current responsibilities, and looks ahead for her next jump for power.
Usually people who run for any office do so on their record of accomplishments, but Gabbard appears to have none. She concentrates on travel, creating controversy and her own self-promotion. She refused to debate her challenger in the last electoral cycle. Does she not know how democracy works?
There are many troubling things about this candidate for president.
