A short-lived nonprofit known as Milestones, created to help children with neurodevelopmental and behavioral conditions, is closing in February following the departure of its chief executive officer.
Ryan Lee, president and CEO of Milestones, said the board decided to end operations after he resigned due to personal health issues.
The organization, which said it provided specialized care and treatment to 1,700 children since its inception in March, is downsizing staff and will no longer be accepting new patients. The nonprofit said it will continue to serve existing patients over the next month to “ensure a smooth and safe transition.”
