    Kaila Takai got around Kapolei’s Shelby Hopeau during the first half of their opening-round match of the girls Division I state soccer playoffs in Pearl City. Takai scored one of five goals for the Chargers.

The Pearl City Chargers turned it on in the second half en route to a 5-0 victory over the Kapolei Hurricanes in a first-round match of The Queen’s Medical Center/HHSAA Girls Soccer Division I State Championship at Pearl City on Monday. Read more
