Alysha Marcucci led four Sharks in double-figures with 18 points, helping Hawaii Pacific upset No. 25 Azusa Pacific 81-72 at the Blaisdell Arena on Wednesday.
Samantha Lambrigtsen added 16 points for the Sharks (14-5, 12-1 PacWest) while Breanna Mackenzie had 12 and Abbey Noblett 11 to hand the Cougars their first loss in conference play.
Savanna Hanson had a game-high 21 points to lead Azusa Pacific (17-4, 14-1), while Daylee Hanson and Laura Pranger had 15 apiece.
Azusa Pacific stifles HPU men
Will Ferris had 21 points and Selom Mawugbe added 12 points and 13 rebounds as the Cougars beat Hawaii Pacific 70-52 at the Blaisdell Arena on Wednesday.
Azusa Pacific (14-8, 11-4 PacWest) held the Sharks (5-13, 2-11) without a double-digit scorer. Ronald Blain, Daniel Melifonwu and David Rowlands each had eight points to lead HPU.
