Citizens of a country that claims to be a nation of laws cannot in good conscience object to the use of red-light cameras (”Traffic proposals signal stricter safety rules,” Star-Advertiser, Feb. 3). Registered owners can be held responsible for speeding if the driver cannot be identified.
I was caught speeding on camera in 2002. Red-light cameras will slow people down and eventually save lives.
Disallowing right turns on red is not a solution and will slow traffic.
