The comfort station located in the Three Tables section of Pupukea Beach Park will be closed starting Monday as work begins on reroofing and other improvements.
The facility is expected to remain closed until project completion, expected by fall, according to the state Department of Parks and Recreation. Portable toilets will be provided near the closed comfort station and the restrooms on the Shark’s Cove side of Pupukea Beach Park will remain open.
The $173,000 contract for the project was awarded to Molina Engineering Ltd.
