I find it interesting that many people are against the installation of red-light cameras on the basis of privacy (“Hawaii drivers might get ticketed for running red lights under new legislative proposal,” Star-Advertiser, Feb. 21).They don’t want to be photographed.
I presume they don’t travel.
Major cities around the world have extensive security camera networks in the streets, hotels and public buildings, including Las Vegas, where you are under surveillance from the time you step off the aircraft.
Please put aside your personal objections so this proven technology can save a life.
It might be your own.
