Your article on the film tax credit issue missed one key point (“Cap on film tax credit under fire at Capitol,” Star-Advertiser, March 17).
The tax credit is more than simply an incentive to bring more productions to Hawaii; it also is a long-term investment, contributing to a local economy that is far too dependent on tourism. Keeping the film credit means keeping thousands of our creative professionals employed here in Hawaii.
