Hawaii infielder Ethan Lopez (9) rounds third base during a college baseball game at Les Murakami Stadium in Manoa.

Logan Pouelsen allowed one earned run in seven innings and Hawaii amassed 19 hits in a 15-3 rout of Ohio State today at Bill Davis Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.

Every UH starter had a hit, led by three hits apiece from third baseman Ethan Lopez, first baseman Alex Baeza and right fielder Tyler Best.

It was the Rainbow Warriors’ biggest output since scoring 15 against Pepperdine in 2015.

In winning the final game of this four-game road series, the ’Bows ended a six-game losing streak to improve to 10-14. They open Big West play against UCI Irvine on Friday at Les Murakami Stadium. Aaron Davenport will be UH’s starting pitcher in that game.

The Buckeyes, as they have done in the first three games, took a first-inning lead, at 1-0. But then the ’Bows scored four runs in the second, two in the third, four more in the fourth, and another two in the fifth for a 12-1 lead.

The Buckeyes had no answer against Pouelsen, who struck out four and walked one. He threw strikes on 70 of 99 pitches. By the time Pouelsen exited in place of Cade Smith, the Buckeyes were summoning the reserves.
