Acting Hawaiian Humane Society Director Bob Armstrong says former director of the HHS did nothing wrong (“Hawaiian Humane Society CEO resigns following euthanasia protests,” Star-Advertiser, March 26).
If that is the case, why is she leaving? When I was manning the reference desk at the Hawaii Kai Public Library, students working on their term papers would complain that when they asked if the HHS performed euthanasia, they would never get a clear-cut “yes” or “no” answer.
When I called the HHS they would promise to get back to me but never did.
Now that they have finally admitted that euthanasia is done, could Armstrong tell us what percentage of animals are euthanized?
