A 19-year-old man was taken to the hospital after he sustained injuries on the H-1 freeway in Aiea early today.
Emergency Medical Services said the man may have been struck by a vehicle while running across the freeway at about 1 a.m.
EMS responded to the westbound lanes of the freeway near the Kaamilo Street overpass.
He sustained abrasions to his arms, legs, hands and feet. Paramedics treated him and took him to a trauma hospital in serious condition.
