Prosecutors charged a 20-year-old man after he allegedly rammed a stolen vehicle into a police car in the Kaimuki area.

Andy Titus was charged Sunday for auto theft, first-degree criminal property damage and resisting arrest. His bail is set at $11,000.

Police said a suspect later identified as Titus was observed operating a stolen vehicle at about 3 a.m. Saturday. He then rammed the vehicle into a police car, causing damage.

No injuries were reported.

Titus fled the scene and abandoned the vehicle a short distance away.

Police said he fled on foot but officers soon located and arrested him in the 2100 block of Ahe Street.
