Police identify man killed in Big Isle hit-and-run
A 35-year-old man killed in a hit-and-run on Hawaii island last week has been identified as Anthony Harper of Pahoa, according to police.
The deadly crash occurred on the Hilo-bound lanes of Highway 11, north of Makalika Street at about 1:50 a.m. on Apr. 3.
The Hawaii Police Department’s Traffic Enforcement Unit has opened a negligent homicide investigation.
