Moke’s Bread & Breakfast opened its second restaurant Tuesday in Kaimuki.

It is the latest expansion out of Kailua for the family-owned eatery, known for its lilikoi pancakes. It also has a restaurant in Japan.

The business has operated a 2,000-square-foot restaurant and bakery in Kailua for the past 15 years. The Kaimuki location is roughly 1,300 square feet on the second floor at 1127 11th Ave.

“This is one of my favorite neighborhoods on the whole island,” said Keola Warren, whose family runs the business. “It’s such a good food neighborhood so we’re super excited to be a part of it.”

Bakery items — including freshly made wheat, white and rye breads, as well as muffins and biscuits — will be brought in from its Kailua facility.

“Everybody in Kaimuki they come here for food,” he said. “People are hungry around here.”
