Medical examiner identifies man who died after being found unconscious off Kahe Point

A 43-year-old visitor died after he was found unconscious in the ocean at Tracks Beach Park in Leeward Oahu Monday afternoon.

The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office identified him as Xin Li Zou of Sammamish, Wash. The cause of death was drowning and the manner of death was classified as an accident.

Police and Emergency Medical Services said a man later identified as Zou was found unresponsive and floating in the water at about 1:25 p.m.

EMS personnel performed life-saving measures and took him in critical condition to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
