Mapunapuna street reopens after water main breaks twice in 2 days
Ahua Street in Mapunapuna has reopened in both directions today after Honolulu Board of Water Supply crews completed repairs to an 8-inch water main that ruptured twice in two days.
The line near 761 Ahua St. initially ruptured Monday.
After crews repaired it, the main broke again in the same area Tuesday morning while repaving work was being done for Monday’s break.
Crews completed repairs Tuesday night and restored water service to eight businesses.
