State transportation officials will offer special-use lanes for limited morning hours, while several contraflow lanes on Oahu and Kauai will remain closed, for the Good Friday holiday.

On Oahu, the Zipper Lane will be open for a limited time in the morning, while Pali Highway will have no morning contraflow between Castle Junction and Waokanaka Street. On Kauai, the Kuhio Highway convoy will be on a Sunday schedule.

On Friday, lanes are scheduled as follows:

OAHU

>> 5:30 to 9 a.m.: Zipper Lane will be open in the eastbound direction from Managers Drive to the Keehi Interchange.

>> 5:30 to 9 a.m.: Nimitz Highway contraflow will be open in the eastbound direction from the Keehi Interchange to the beginning of the industrial parkway.

>> Pali Highway contraflow will be closed between Kamehameha Highway and Waokanaka Street.

>> Farrington Highway contraflow will be closed between Laumania Avenue and Nanaikeola Street.

KAUAI

>> Kuhio Highway contraflow will be closed between Kapule Highway and the Kapaa Temporary Bypass Road.

>> The Kuhio Highway convoy from Waikoko to Wainiha will be operating on the Sunday and Holiday schedule. Following the 7 p.m. convoy from Wainiha to Waikoko, the Waipa Bridge will be closed for repair work and residents will be allowed through via the park and ride shuttle service.

Motorists are advised to plan ahead, use goakamai.org or other smartphone traffic apps and allow for extra travel time to get to their destinations.
