Waimanalo split over changes to park

    The city began clearing trees and brush at Waimanalo Bay Beach Park about two weeks ago to clear the way for a proposed athletic field, but some in the community want the work to stop.

Waimanalo residents are being asked to show up at a community meeting tonight to voice support or opposition for athletic fields and other planned improvements at the 75-acre Waimanalo Bay Beach Park, also known as Sherwood Forest. Read more
