Female body recovered from stream near Nimitz Highway
The body of a female was recovered from a stream near the intersection of Nimiz Highway and Kilihau Street, near the Keehi Lagoon Beach Park at around 7:40 p.m., according to the Honolulu Fire Department.
No positive identification has been made and HFD was not able to confirm whether the body was of an adult or an adolescent.
HFD Capt. Scot Seguirant said six units with 16 personnel responded to reports of a body in the stream at around 6:50 p.m. He said because the sun was setting when the report came in it was a challenge for rescue crews to locate and recover the body.
