    Traffic is being contraflowed on North King Street in Kalihi as Honolulu Board of Water Supply crews repairing a 12-inch water main break.

Traffic is being contraflowed on North King Street in Kalihi as Honolulu Board of Water Supply crews repairing a 12-inch water main break.

One lane is open in each direction on North King Street near Kohou Street, across the street from Richie’s Drive Inn.

The following traffic modifications are in place:

>> All eastbound lanes on North King Street near Kohou Street are closed.

>> West-bound lanes of North King Street near Kohou Street are being contraflowed to allow for one lane in each direction.

The number of affected customers is undetermined at this time, the Board of Water Supply said.

The contraflow will remain in effect until further notice as crews work on the water main break reported at about 6:15 a.m. today. Motorists are advised to expect delays and use alternate routes where possible. Repairs are expected to last well into rush hour this evening.
