I walked the beach where I live the day after Easter Sunday and the third day of Passover. As I strolled along the pristine shoreline, I noticed something that I hadn’t seen before. The ocean sand ahead became a mirror image of the sky. The picture-perfect water gently ebbed and flowed by.
At that moment, I thought of our humanity. We are certainly colors of a mixed rainbow celebrating life and our religions in many different ways. I suddenly saw a round shimmery image of light appear alongside my feet. I was surprised until I looked back up to the sky and realized it was a brilliant reflection of the sun peeking through the clouds.
Right or wrong, left or right, we are all made in the image of God. What we do here now is continually reflected back to heaven. Let’s do the best we can to help each other.
