Motorcyclist killed in crash ID’d
Big Island police on Wednesday identified the 60-year-old motorcyclist who died in a two-vehicle collision April 20 as Michael J. Clair of Kona.
Clair had been headed north on Palani Road, near the intersection of Highway 180, when he crossed a double solid yellow line in the road near a turn and struck a white Toyota Sequoia.
Police believe speed and alcohol were possible factors and have initiated a coroner’s inquest. Any witnesses are asked to call police at 326-4646 ext. 229.
