City officials advised motorists to plan ahead for increased traffic near the Neal S. Blaisdell Center during the morning hours of Monday due to jury selection for an upcoming case.

More than 430 potential jurors will be considered by the U.S. Department of Justice for the trial of retired Honolulu Police Chief Louis Kealoha; his wife, former Deputy Prosecutor Katherine Kealoha; and three former members of the Honolulu Police Department’s elite Criminal Intelligence Unit.

Motorists should expect traffic, especially by the King Street entrance, and increased demand for parking.

Later in the month, city officials also warn motorists of multiple graduation events to be held at Blaisdell Center on May 23, 25 and 26, which will result in increased traffic as well.
