NFL trio to host free
football camp
The Fam 1st Family Foundation announced its inaugural Hawaii Football Camp will be held at Punahou School on May 11.
NFL athletes Marshawn Lynch, Josh Johnson and Marcus Peters co-founded the Fam 1st Family Foundation in Oakland, Calif., in 2006.
The one-day free camp was announced via social media and rosters were completely filled within hours. The camp day will be split into two sessions, hosting over 500 athletes, beginning at 9 a.m. with kids ages 6-12 years old, followed by the 13-18 age group at 1 p.m. Lynch, Johnson, and Peters will be in attendance, along with coaches from the mainland.
Following the camp, there will be a Fam 1st Family Fundraising event at Lucky Strike Social, starting at 8 p.m. Lynch, Johnson and Peters will be on hand as celebrity bartenders. Fans will have a chance to meet the players, participate in a silent auction, and purchase merchandise to benefit the foundation. General admission to the fundraiser is $20, VIP is $100 and VIP tables are available for $500. Contact Justine Peterson at 664-1103 for additional information.
