Yes, your axiom is correct (“Corruption grows with complacency,” Star-Advertiser, Our View, May 12).
However you failed to mention when the corruption in Hawaii began, and the 126-year continuation of complacent complicity of the original crime: the overthrow of Hawaii’s sovereign queen in 1893 (see Public Law 103-150).
