I have been receiving a bunch of scam phone calls lately. The first one was about my car warranty (I don’t have a car). Then it was the IRS coming after me. Next was the McDonald’s $100 gift certificate. Now, it’s about my Social Security number. Who are these people?

It would be of great service to the community if the Star-Advertiser, along with other sponsors, were to create a Scam Alert section in the paper. This would inform the public of the latest scams and what actions to take.

I believe that this would discourage the scammers, and could prevent someone from being scammed. Maybe with all the information gathered, we can all help to apprehend these people.
