Rescue personnel searched Kailua Bay on Saturday for a man in his 20s who went missing while swimming with two women late Friday. Later in the day lifeguards posted shark warning signs on the beach. Beachgoer Barbie McAllister was on the beach when a lifeguard posted the sign and said, “I asked him if it was legit and he said 'Yeah, it sure is, and that’s why they brought the divers in for a bit.' He said that they thought there were about nine or ten hammerheads.”
