IF YOU CAN ONLY HAVE 1 NEW COOKBOOK…
Two of the top arbiters of quality in cookbooks have weighed in for the year — the James Beard Foundation book awards announced in April and the International Association of Culinary Professionals announced in May.
If your cookbook shelf is overflowing and you can only add one more this year, take note: The only book to make both lists was “Milk Street: Tuesday Nights,” by Christopher Kimball.
“Milk Street,” born of the public television show and the magazine of the same name, presents recipes meant for weeknight cooking, meaning relatively quick and easy, yet big on flavor.
Find it in bookstores and online sources. Published by Little, Brown and Co., the retail price is $35.
