Hawaii outfielder Scotty Scott was named to the Collegiate Baseball freshman All-America team on Wednesday, announced by the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper.
In his first season as a Rainbow Warrior, Scott batted .291 with six doubles, four triples, 36 runs scored and 20 runs batted in. He batted leadoff in all 50 games for UH (20-30, 8-16 Big West).
Scott was also named the Big West freshman field player of the year. The Collegiate Baseball freshman All-America team consists of 83 members, including 17 outfielders in addition to Scott.
