Here are some of my concerns about all mail-in voting:

>> Will I find the ballot? I ask because I misplaced my April bank statement and it took a while to notice the balance wasn’t changing. I found the statement in a project file with a bunch of papers. No guarantees of voting here.

>> The neighborhood board ballot also got buried on my desk and never was executed. And it was big.

>> At the last election, I had to leave the voting booth twice to ask for help. At home, there is no one to ask to make sure I have done things correctly. If I make a mistake and it is not discovered until the ballot is opened, have I lost my vote?

I have always enjoyed the exercise of democracy by communal voting. One day on the calendar, a walk to City Hall and I’m good. If mail-in voting is necessary, I would ask that there be a few central places where people like me can go and feel confident. And I really want to vote in 2020.
