I remember when pedestrians on Oahu streets used to have the right of way.
Now, you better run to get through the intersection once the countdown starts or you will be ticketed. Seriously?
When did it become the fault of pedestrians that the deaths are skyrocketing?
Don’t even get me going about the numbers of bicyclists and skateboarders riding illegally on the sidewalks of Waikiki. Will it honestly take someone getting seriously injured and the city getting sued for them to get it?
As long as we cross the street before the countdown ends, which I believe was the original intent, no one should receive a ticket.
