Volunteer registration for the 2020 Sony Open in Hawaii is available online.
The 1,500 who volunteer annually make it possible for the Friends of Hawaii Charities to contribute more than $1 million each year to local charities, with the help of partner The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, Inc.
Volunteer areas include:
>> Admissions and Will Call (needed Jan. 6-12, two full days required);
>> Gallery Control/Marshals (Jan 6-12, minimum three full days);
>> Parking (Jan. 5-12, minimum two days);
>> Shotlink (Jan. 9-12, training Jan. 8);
>> Standard Bearers (Jan. 8-12, minimum two days);
>> Volunteer Pool (Jan. 6-12, minimum two days).
Also, 2020 Sony Open tickets are now available online. A season badge, good Jan. 8-12, is $60 and any-day tickets are $20.

Leilehua hosts tournament
Registration is open for the Hawaii State Women’s Golf Association Senior Women’s Championship. The 41st annual event will be Monday, Sept. 9, at Leilehua.
The tournament is open to HSWGA members age 50 and older (by Sept. 9) and all past Senior Women’s champions. Handicap index must by 34.6 (36 handicap at Leilehua) or less as of Sept. 1.
Cost is $90 for civilians and $80 for military. Play begins at 8 a.m. Entry deadline is Aug. 19.
