Police reopen Farrington Highway after crews fix main break in Waipahu

Two eastbound lanes of Farrington Highway in Waipahu were closed for hours today.

Board of Water Supply crews were working on a 6-inch water main break near St. Joseph Church at 94-651 Farrington Highway, just before Waipahu Depot Road.

All lanes were reopened at around 4:43 p.m. after they completed the repair.

BWS crews installed a temporary asphalt patch. A contractor will return at a later date to repave the road.

The water main break was first reported at around 3:30 a.m. today.
