Let’s face it: We don’t need another telescope on Mauna Kea, and we don’t want it.
My daughter graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in May. Many of the students, and even some faculty, wore “AOLE TMT” stoles. Someone hung one on the microphone on the center podium.
The rules governing Mauna Kea are not even in place. The draft rules promise to respect traditional and customary rights.
When it comes to corporations versus the people, our representatives should support the people.
