Both parks and parking are needed in Waikiki (“A park is born in Waikiki,” Star-Advertiser, Off The News, July 31).

Former Mayor Frank Fasi built both at City Hall. He built underground parking and a park above it.

Imitating the inimitable Frank Fasi would give us parking and a park. The practical parking part would also cover all the costs and more.
