Mayor Kirk Caldwell needs to be encouraged to read some factual reports on climate change.
Covering our beautiful open spaces and forest areas with man-made materials is so destructive, how can he even feign pride in what he is doing?
Everyone should read Kathleen Parker’s column, “Want to stop climate change? Plant a trillion more trees” (Star-Advertiser, July 27).
Please stop. My heart breaks every time I pass Sherwood Forest and see the sickening swath of destroyed trees, ground laid bare, ready for the ill- advised tar and concrete covering.
Caldwell’s Sherwood Forest project and that of Ala Moana Park’s playground development are disgraceful, and not supported by the majority of taxpayers.
Just stop now.
