Jaywalking is against the law, and is punishable by a fine for pedestrians who don’t obey the law.
If the law was enforced at Laniakea Beach on the North Shore, there would be a sizable amount of money each day, each week, each month and every year that could be used to fund areas in dire need, such as potholes and road markings that are visible.
The focus lately has been on pedestrian crossing awareness; yet without enforcement, jaywalking blatantly continues at Laniakea.
