Usually when you get paid for work, you actually have to do something besides standing around looking lost without any direction from the governor or state.
Why not take the police off Mauna Kea until Gov. David Ige decides if he wants to open the road or not, and save the taxpayers’ money?
The only reason the protest is peaceful is because there has been no attempt to open the road. The protesters are in complete control, with the police having to ask permission to even let the existing telescope workers access their place of work.
