State scrapping Navatek, but boaters might be on the hook to cover costs

    Preparation for the demolition of the derelict Navatek II began on Wednesday at Ala Wai Harbor.

    After one of the hulls was punctured so that it could be tethered and pulled into position, an excavator readied for the Navatek II’s demolition on Wednesday.
