H-1 East lanes reopen in Pearl City after vehicle fire

Traffic on the H-1 Freeway was backed up earlier this afternoon heading east near Pearl City due to a vehicle fire that has closed multiple lanes near the Waiawa overpass.
All lanes of the H-1 East have reopened following a vehicle fire, according to the City and County of Honolulu.
The city’s HNL Info Alerts system sent out a message at 1:49 p.m. advising motorists that crews had finished working to put out the fire in the area of the Waiawa overpass .
No information was provided as to the cause of the blaze, or if any injuries were reported.
