Kamehameha Highway is now open in both directions after a traffic incident earlier today resulted in a downed utility pole that closed the roadway.

Traffic was restricted along Kamehameha Highway between Imiloa and Hunalepo streets in Heeia near the Malaekahana State Recreation Area as Hawaiian Electric Co. personnel completed repairs.

According to a HECO spokesperson, repairs were completed around 4:15 p.m. today.
