Missing Puna man, 75, was murdered
Shingo Honda, 75, whose body was found Wednesday in the Orchid Isle Estates subdivision in Puna, was murdered, Hawaii island police said today.
Honda’s body was located after Puna patrol officers responded around 7:18 p.m. to a report of a missing elderly male. His body was discovered several hundred yards from the residence.
An autopsy was performed this morning and Honda was identified through finger prints.
The case has been classified as a murder, police said.
