Lockdowns at Ewa Elementary, Lanakila Baptist have been canceled
Lockdowns at Ewa Elementary and Preschool and Lanakila Baptist have been canceled.
Honolulu police said at 2:15 p.m. that the schools were on lockdown as officers searched the area for a suspect.
About 20 minutes later, police sent an all-clear for the schools.
In the initial alert, police mistakenly said Ewa Beach Elementary was locked down, instead of Ewa Elementary.
Correction: Ewa Elementary and Preschool were briefly on lockdown today. An earlier version of this story said Ewa Beach Elementary and Preschool were locked down.
