A mysterious package found in front of the Honolulu Fire Department’s McCully-Moiliili station that turned out to be empty led to the closure of several streets between Kapiolani Boulevard and University Avenue around Date Street for more than four hours today.

Police were called at 7:12 a.m. to a report of “a mysterious package” in front of the station. After Honolulu police dispatched a robot to the scene, the package ended up being empty and roads were reopened.
