Honolulu police and firefighters respond to a gas leak at Campbell Industrial Park today.

Honolulu firefighters responded to a gas leak at Campbell Industrial Park Monday.

The leak reportedly occurred shortly before 10 a.m. at a construction site located at the corner of Hanua and Komohana streets in proximity to the H-Power plant.

Battalion Chief John Pacheco said a large loader accidentally struck an 8-inch gas line on the property.

Approximately two dozen construction workers were evacuated from the site. No injuries were reported.

Police temporarily shut down a section of Hanua Street and reopened it at about 11:35 a.m.

Pacheco said it was not immediately clear what company owns the gas line.
