Hawaii County police want to question man regarding Ocean View shooting

Hawaii County police are searching for a 33-year-old Ocean View man wanted for questioning in connection with a Monday morning shooting in Hawaiian Ocean View Estates subdivision.

Police were called to the 92-8000 block of King Kamehameha Boulevard where they found a 41-year-old man who had a gunshot wound to the chest.

Police are asking the public for help in finding Carlwin David, who is wanted on an outstanding warant of arrest. He is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 120 pounds, wih a thin build, black hair and brown eyes.

Police caution the public not to approach David as he may be armed and dangerous. Call police at 935-3311 to report his location.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call Detective Mike Santos at 326-4646, ext. 224 or email michael.santos@hawaiicounty.gov or call the police non-emergency line at 935-3311.

Anonymous calls may be made to CrimeStoppers at 961-8300.
