A limited number of ticketed guests can attend the 2021 Sentry Tournament of Champions, but will not be allowed to roam the Plantation Course in compliance with PGA Tour health and safety guidelines.
The first tour event of the calendar year, the TOC features a winners-only field from 2020 at the beautiful and challenging course at Kapalua from Jan. 7-10 with Justin Thomas as the defending champion. Information about the tournament is available at SentryTournamentOfChampions.com.
TOC officials have worked with the tour as well as local and state governments and leading health authorities on a stringent health and safety plan to host ticketed guests on site. The venue for these guests will be the iconic 18th hole. It will be open air and located at ground level. It will be laid out to focus on social distancing and providing a safe atmosphere on site.
These ticketed fans will be called the Aloha Club and it will feature a kama’aina option, as well as exclusive tournament offerings. Guests on site will be limited to the area of the venue.
“We’re excited about the progress made to safely host the 2021 Sentry Tournament of Champions,” TOC executive director Alex Urban said in a press release. “The well-being for everyone on site and our Maui community is our No. 1 priority, and the PGA Tour has a proven track record in regards to health and safety, having successfully returned to competition in June. We are so proud to be leading the way in returning world-class events to Hawaii.”
