Honolulu police arrested today two brothers who allegedly threatened a 51-year-old man with a machete and robbed him in Waipahu.

Police said the suspects, ages 28 and 30, threatened the man at about 3:30 a.m. Thursday, causing the victim to fear for his safety.

One of the suspects took an undisclosed item from the victim’s vehicle, police said. The brothers then fled the scene.

No injuries were reported.

Police said the suspects and victim know each another.

Police located the suspects in Waipahu early today and arrested them on suspicion of first-degree robbery.
