An employee from the City Mill at Pearl City has tested positive for COVID-19, the company said today.

In a news release, City Mill said the team member, who was asymptomatic, last worked on Sunday and notified the management team today that they tested positive.

Staff have been notified, and the store was disinfected and cleaned, and on-site testing was conducted for the Pearl City employees.

“Our team members are our most valued asset and we have taken steps since the beginning of the pandemic to protect them while still remaining open as an essential business. Upon notification by our team member, the management team quickly activated a previously defined COVID-19 action plan,” Steven Ai, City Mill president and CEO, said in a statement.
